"Here's mine. I personally like this photo very, very much - the angle at which it is taken, the B&W and the sudden pop of color on the flags. For me it's one of the best architecture shots I have (I don't take much architectural shots, mostly I prefer still life) but not many people seem to like it much."

"It was hard to pick just one picture, because I do believe there are a few of my pictures that are sort of underrated. But I've picked this because I think is one of my best photographs. I just love the feeling that it gives me. I love the place it was taken (Villa Traful, Argentina). I love the colors that the sunset gave us that afternoon. The water was super calm that day (which is not very common), so I got that beautiful reflection. I just love the way everything looks, just like a dream or a place full of magic."

"I'd like this piece to be featured because i am so much in love with it. it's just really special. maybe too special because it received almost no faves and it's one of my most unpopular images. but i really put much creativity and time in this (multiple exposure is so damn hard x.x) ans i am quite sad it's this unpopular..."

"This picture was one of the first pictures I had ever taken and its the one that made me want to continue taking pictures. It is my favorite one but when I put it up I got nothing from it."

"I would like this picture to be featured because it is making me feel something. Trains and railways are important to me because, thanks to them, i could see my Fiancé who was at the other side of the country. And they make me sad too because they drove me away from him."

"I love this picture and I think sepia tones, even black and white, sometimes get overlooked."

Sparkler by darkwonder02
by darkwonder02

"I find it difficult to pick one picture for this, because I think every photographer becomes attached to each and every photo they have taken. I picked this one, though, because I hadn't really planned to capture it, I was playing around and experimenting. I knew that I wanted a sparkler picture because I take one every year, but I didn't know how I wanted it to look. So I changed the settings on my camera, took a guess at the focus because it was dark and I was holding a sparkler in one hand and the 700 dollar camera in the other, and snap, this is what came of it."

Mommy, pleeease... by SchwarzWieEbenholZ

"In fact, there are two images I really felt frustrated after having published it. The first one was a shot of a hornet with prey which I felt to be really unique but it lasted long until I had collected some favs just because this is not cute and fluffy but well... real life. The other one is this mother-child-image of a coot and its chick. When I shot this I thought "wow, that's the moment! a mother feeding its baby with so much love, amidst water plants - so natural and exciting". Well, I had to learn that a lot of people don't like plants and prefer boring plain water... I'll never understand this, I guess."

Crystaline by MkshftChrstian

I really love this photo, but people have hardly taken any notice to it. I love the lighting and how it's difficult to tell where it is originating from and what form is it taking; is it sun shining low late in the day? or is it a shaft of light through some trees? The way that the light shines through the crystalline substance was one of the things that inspired me to take the picture with it's stark contrast on the concrete and it's mix of natural and man-made elements."

Feeding Gulls by jcates86

"I think this is my most underrated photo. I love it because of the emotion it captures. Here is a man in his eighties with failing health but hope in his eyes. The look in his eyes says it all for me. I think it's underrated because you don't notice that look in his eyes from the thumbnail. But, when you zoom in, you see it all--the hope, the look of intent, his passion and compassion, everything. It became a something where I felt honored to have been able to capture this moment with this elderly man who was trying to feed a wounded seagull"

The Rare and Elusive Drift-Hound by FeralWhippet
by FeralWhippet

"Possibly the only photo I have with *zero* favorites despite at least a few views, and I would say far from the worst photo I have in my stream. To me, that top branch is so clearly evocative of the head, shoulders, back and flowing tail of a Borzoi in motion that I was quite impressed with myself for finding it. (As a bonus, the negative space between the three small stubs coming up out of the lower branch outline feet pretty close to where they would actually fall in a running gait, and there are several other things, like the dark patch on the cliffside directly behind the "head" looks like it could have been a shadow, and so on). I guess the issue is that I have a Borzoi and show him, so its more real to me. I have shown the pic to other Borzoi breeder/owners and they see it right away. Almost no one else sees it (or cares if they do...). If I can figure out why it was such a miss, its something I might try to fix in a re-take."

"I usually don't do these things but this one caught my eye and I'm sorry for my inactivity, I've been in a creative slump of late. I picked this photo because it gets basically no traffic and it's one of my favorite invertebrate shots that I have. I think it captures the essence of summer life moving full force."

Mummy's hands by Sybil-m
by Sybil-m

"Though I didn't have hands from the right place to focus well, this became my favorite photo, cause of the wonderful mother's emotions. I decided that it's not very important to see her eyes - hands are enough."

Crosswalk by summra
by summra

"It's crisp, it's cute, and although it's slightly monotone, the every-bright and chipper girl decided to put this picture on her stream. To me, this photograph isn't necessarily about the composition, though; the humor counts more. I stared at these two gulls for a few minutes while they waited for the street to clear so they could waddle across the road. Why didn't they fly? Who knows. Additionally, how often do most people get on eye level with a bird before it flies away? Perhaps this is underrated due to the general wet and drab look about the subject. but it *is* Wales, after all."

Robin by viva-la-cheese
by viva-la-cheese

"I picked this photo because I really like the colors, depth of field, and the way the lighting turned out. It was such a chance shot, a really cruddy day, snowing and everything, but this little Robin decided to come out and pose for a few shots!"

Dreamy Daisies by emeraldeyesx3

"I always liked the picture because of the deep green of the grass and the contrast to the white flower. I uploaded it quite a while ago, at a time where I did not have many watchers."

Yellow Flowers by MissRockabilly
by MissRockabilly

"I'd love to see this image featured because I feel people have overlooked it for being another flower picture. I love that in a sense it is a monochromatic image, very warm, and simple. The focus and centering really makes me love it, and I'm proud I was able to capture it the way I did."

"I strongly believe this photo was underrated because of a number of reasons, one being that the model is a women portraying a man challenging gender rules in society, where she might pull off this look a little too well and people will just take a second glance at it without reading the description. Or that people might see the location as over done or just another graffiti environment, and that a mistake on the photography side of it, it is missed focused on her arm rather than face."

"I am very proud of this shot and this was really hard to get. The model was shivering in the cold when we made this photo. This is one of the few pictures I am truly proud of."

by NessaPalmer

"This photo is a like most of my photos is underrated. This shot was lucky one to, while trying to get photos of dragonflies this particular one actually stay there long enough for me to snap this very well compose photo it's one of my favorites. It's insanely detailed despite not being a macro photo. The colours are vibrant. probably the only problem is the top of the wing is off frame."
