Yes, in the time our country is celebrating our landmark of independence, my British counterpart have come over for a holiday as they like to call it. Its a bizarre phenomenon that happens every five or so years. To give a little bit of background, my Mum is from England; moved over here when she was around sixteen.
Since her departure, theres been a feud. But despite this, my relatives still like to visit America.
I was hesitant to go and visit them but when in good faith nonetheless to say hi. Why might you ask? Well, this is what my one aunt had to say after not seeing me for five years: Something to the effect of: Oh God Kel, youve really let yourself go
look at all those bloody freckles you have! Its a damn shame really, if only your mother did not marry a damn Irishmen, youd look more like us.
Yeah its nice to see you too, you old hag.
Bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch! Really. Is that anyway to say Hi. And the few days theyve been here is bitch about the food, the weather, damn, they even bitched about the fuckin drapes at my parents house! Arggh! And just for spite, I invited them to join me in a lovely Fourth of July celebration in the cityits been over 200 years and they still bitch! But they did bring me some English tea bisquesGod do I love those!
Luckly, its just a handful of my aunts that are so stuck up. My two cousins, who are in their mid-twentieshave been a riot! They love it here: the people, the festivals, the bars [just not the American beer, which I agree with them]. So its not a total wash.
So other than my crazy relives driving me up a wall, my Nikkor 180mm lens just got back from the repair shot. It took the dude two months to fix! Nikon had some crazy part on backorder. But whatever, its back and I feel more complete. I hated shooting just with a wide and a medium lens.
And I still have no job. Ive been turn down five jobs in the last four weeks. Either I live too far away or there is something not on my resume that they need. I still have my interview on the eighth for the policestill feels odd though.
But I aint throwing in the towel yet. Somethin gotta budge.
I got some great features this month [dont I always]! So be sure to check by their galleries!
Have a great month of July guys! And thanks for all the support!

Anyway, just don't take it too serious and enjoy yourself as much as you can while you are with them
Cheers!
