So as the title suggest, I've lost my job. The small local studio I worked for just filed chapter 11 and shut its doors after 30 something years. It's sad. But with Northeastern Ohio's economy in the tank, it comes to no surprise. What was surprising was the fact the pink slip came with no warning. Just the other day I was talking to our assignment manager [who I just love!] and said she'll be looking for more photographers to hire! The studio was booked for all of the upcoming summer months!
Who would of thunk? Maybe something fishy was going one with the owners. I never saw them much and this studio could've been a laundry for all I know. Cleveland's a pretty corrupt city...
So now I'm jobless. While I punch out my resume on monster.com, I've started to peddle shit at flea markets and on ebay. I'm actually doing quite well, despite that fact I feel like a traveling gypsy...
And I have a bit more free time to shoot and be creative, so I have no excuse not to post some new work. I'm waiting on a few rolls to be processed...I can't wait to see what I got! Sure, I'll shoot some digital, but you know me---I love my film!
So besides that, things are okay. I'll keep you posted.
