I'm not sure what has suck out my creative energy but it's diffidently on hiatus for the time being. As of late, I've just lost all my energy to go out and create. The idea well is dry, my wallet is very light and my cameras, well, they're collecting dust. The few times I did wonder out, shot off a few rolls, I've hated or rather loath my own work. And this loathing has turned me off from photography and art in general.
But it's just a rut perpetuated by my poor financal state. My energy is all on work, making money and keeping my debt collectors at bay. I wish I were a strong artist, one who could to live on what I love to do [I'm not counting that out for the future but just for the time being] but I have to be a realist.
But I haven't lost my passion for art: Art has always been a part of me. My sour mood is just apart of a cycle, a cycle that runs up and down. Some ups are higher and some lows are in the pit of darkness. I've been here before and sometimes I think it's a good thing.
And no, I'm not leaving DA [sorry, I'll be bugging you for a long time] as DA has really helped me. Plus I spend most time running the club and trying my best to help other photographers. The club has been the best thing I've done on-line and I only hope it gets bigger and the ball keeps rolls [so as long as I can handle it].
I still have a bunch of medium format film that needs to be scanned: when I did go shoot, I shot only with my Yashica. It's two bucks to get a frame scanned so when I get a small stockpile of cash I hope to share with you my adventures with a square.
